The Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship has an opportunity for everyone to become involved. Some programs are designed to explore spiritual paths to foster growth and purpose, while others just serve as a great opportunity to have fun and get to know each other better. Whether it’s religious education and Buddhist meditation groups, or book clubs and movie nights, you’re sure to find something that interests you.
Below is a summary of ongoing Fellowship programs. Check in on our events calendar regularly for details about upcoming events or meet-ups.
Adult Religious Education
Each Sunday at 10 am we offer Adult Religious Education:
Knowledge Seekers – The purpose of this group is to open the intellect with programs and discussion about religion and science. Join the group in this exploration with 30-minute videos followed by discussion. We’re always considering new subjects for study, and updates will be posted on the events calendar for those interested in attending.
Fiction Book Group
4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM
The Fiction Book Group has a monthly meet-up (excluding May & December) at the Fellowship to discuss a new novel or collection of essays chosen by retired English professor, Dick Moseley, who also facilitates the conversation. All are welcome to attend, read the month’s selection, and enjoy delving deeper into some of today’s best new literature.
Nothing Much Buddhist Covenant Group
Every Monday at 7:30 PM
Join the Nothing Much Buddhist Covenant Group online via Zoom to discuss literature, practice meditation and mindfulness, and share in the joy of being. Facilitated by Tony Tackitt. Contact Tony at 806-354-8654 or tonytackitt60@yahoo.com for more information.
